Antique TIFFANY STUDIOS Leaded Glass Geometric Acorn Lamp ca early 1900's Signed
Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. For your consideration is a beautiful Tiffany Studios Geometric Acorn Lamp, circa early 1900s. The shade is decorated with a band of acorns and geometric panels.
The colors are a mixture of butterscotch and cream with a multitude of green hues and patina-ed leading. The bronze base is heavy and has a boldly ribbed bottom which stems up to a two socket cluster with what appears to be the original Weber paddle switches. 6 tall by 14 at widest and has a deep elegant glow. Are numerous cracks and some tiny chipping to some of the glass panels.
Majority appears to be on one side, however, no panels are missing. A few areas show evidence of old repairs or re-solder and the shade is not perfectly round. Signed on the interior rim with small applied tags TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 1420-61.
The lamp base measures approx. 20 tall with a 7ΒΌ wide bottom.
It does work and is in. Excellent condition with light age related wear and a nice rich patina.The cord grommet is partially missing and has been re-wired. The heat cap for top of shade has a few dings and appears to have been re-soldered on the underside. Base is signed on the bottom TIFFANY STUDIOS 333. E currently have it plugged into a dimmer receptacle which converts it into a touch lamp, giving you a selection of three great glows.
