C1890 NORTHWOOD "Panelled Sprig" PICKLE CASTOR Enamel Cranberry w/Silver FRAME. Offered for sale is this lovely Victorian art glass pickle castor. The insert was made by Harry Northwood in the "Panelled Sprig" pattern.

The glass is cranberry with very nice floral enamel decoration. The insert measures 4 high and about the same across.

The castor fits in a quadruple silver plate frame made by the Acme Plate Company. It features pretty floral accents and a "petticoat" base. The frame is 10 1/4" high and about 4" across at the opening. The bottom has the maker's mark as pictured.

A nice set of tongs is included. This piece is in very good estate condition with no damage, significant wear or restoration found.

There is a bit of expected roughness around the rim--not at all distracting but see photos to evaluate. You should be very happy to include this piece in your collection!
