This bottle has a vibrant silvery-blue iridescent coloration in the glass body with purple iridescent highlights around the base and upper rim. The bottle has its original teardrop stopper with long dauber. Aurene glass was created by Frederick Carder for Steuben Glass in Corning, N.
In the early 1900's and competed in quality and appearance with Tiffany's Favrile Art Glass. This gorgeous perfume bottle is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs to the glass. There is some minor residue on the bottom from an old label. Measures 7" high (with stopper in place), 5 3/8" high (to lip) with a base diameter of 2 1/8. The bottle is marked with the etched signature "Steuben" and "3294" which is the correct item number for this design.This is a beautiful perfume bottle and would be a great addition to any perfume bottle collection! Items produced during the Frederick Carder era at Steuben Glass Works are all highly desired and are included in all the major American Art Glass collections.
