Monroe Kelva Wave Crest Floral Enameled Dresser Box Here is a beautiful antique C. Monroe Kelva art glass jewelry or dresser trinket box. It is a large jewelry box covered with beautifully hand painted flowers that have been painted in the six sections on the top. Around the bottom they have only painted the flowers in 4 of the six panels, two of the panels in the back have been left without flowers. It has a decorative ormolu four leg base as well as decorative brass bands between the base and the top.
The hinge is tight and works fine as does the clip on the front that holds the lid closed. Inside is a beveled mirror that swivels. As you can see there is a few spots where the silver back has some spots but not bad really for a mirror so old. As I said it is a large jewelry box and measures approximately 6 1/2" inches wide and 5 1/2" inches tall.
It is marked underneath in red, Kevla. Either side it says Trade Mark. This jewelry box is in very good shape with no chips or cracks, I see no missing paint and it really looks to me to be in excellent condition.
