Mt Washington Melon Shaped Salt Shakers In Figural Silver Plate Holder 1880's

Up for sale is this beautiful set of 2 Mt. Washington enameled MELON shaped shakers in a silverplated holder.

In the holder, they measure about 5 1/2" tall X 6 1/2" across. The individual shakers measure about 2 1/2" across X 1 3/4" tall. The shakers are in very good condition although the lids are tight. I do not want to force them open. The silverplate holder is in great condition with no loss to the silverplate.

There is some minor "pitting" in the base of the holder where the shakers sit. The frame has leaves and pumpkins/melons hanging from the side of the handle. It is marked Toronto Silverplate # 059 on the bottom of the frame. The enameling on the "green" matching shakers is beautiful and in great condition with pastel flowers around the entire perimeter of the shakers. A great addition to your "shaker" collection.
