Pair L. C. Tiffany FAVRILE Gold Iridescent Art Glass Wine Goblets

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a pair of lovely Tiffany Favrile gold iridescent Art Glass wine goblets. These nice goblets have vibrant gold iridescence with highlights of purple and blue on stem and base. The stem has a rounded knob at top and sits on a slightly convex shaped base.

Both goblets are marked in the pontil area "L C T". Favrile art glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's Aurene glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th Century. Measure 3 7/8" high with a 2 7/8" diameter top and 2 1/4 diameter base.

Combined weight is 5.2 ounces. Both goblets are in very good to excellent Estate condition with the only noted flaws being puddling of the iridescent coloration on the top of both bases and one goblet has two faint scratches in this same area.
