Steuben Glass COLUMN OF THE OWL 18K Gold Sculpture Figurine w Original Box MINT
Offered in this sale is an iconic investment quality Steuben glass and 18 karat gold sculpture designed by James Houston that is known as COLUMN OF THE OWL. It measures roughly 7 3/4" tall x 2 1/2" wide across the top. It is signed Steuben with diamond point on the underside of the base. The gold owl measures roughly 1 7/8 tall.
It is marked on the back near the base of the tail 18K S. This comes complete with its original fitted box with working clasp. The sculpture is in near mint condition with no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding.
In addition I could find only one tiny pencil point size light scratch on the underside of the base that you need to tilt in the light or use your finger to find. The box has only some light scuffing on the underside of the base. The top and sides are fine and the clasp is tight and clicks firmly in place. A superb addition for any serious Steuben glass collection.
