Retro Vintage Hand Blown Glass BLENKO Design #6316 by Wayne Husted 1963. RED GLASS DECANTER WITH STOPPER. H= approx 33.5 cms Tall (incl Stopper) Approx 36cms wide 8cms deep (curving shape) Very Heavy.

Well, as the pictures show, this is a beauty! Outstanding deep red colour, its shape is quite unusual, very wide, and narrow depth, good height, it certainly is a feature in any display. This design by Wayne Husted, who designed many beautiful glass pieces at BLENKO from 1953 to 1963. This design from his last year at BLENKO, is arguably one of his most desirable, With various collectors describing and coverting this as a'Grail' or'Unicorn'' piece, and certainly is a very scarce one to obtain. Im no expert in glass, but this is blown glass, with a pontil scar on base, and I can see only a few small air bubbles..

In the end, it just feels quality, and in my opinion, looks soooooooooo gooooood... Discovered in an Australian Estate. Condition is very good, with no cracks or chips that I can see on inspection, some wear scuffs to base. Its quite heavy being thick glass, even the stopper is heavy (solid piece of glass), havent got scales working atm, so I would guess at least a few kilograms.

This art glass bottle as a display piece looks stunning, and its colour suiting many furnishings, especially the RETRO INSPIRED. And a great collectable in this beautiful bold colour.
