Fenton vintage art "uranium" glass ---Hurricane--- style table lamp. 1960's / 1970's hand blown glass. Custard satin color in the poppy pattern. Only the top globe is lighted, and by one standard size light bulb not included. Note that pics show lamp lighted with an LED bulb.
Zoom in to analyze all pics closely for more detail of lamp. A pre-owned lamp in clean, good condition, but not perfect. Complete with brass hardware, missing an original sticker. Has minor chips on bottom rim of upper globe that seats on brass rim, and then becomes non-visible. Note glass chimney has wear marks where it fits into prongs to seat onto brass fixture. 18 tall inclusive of the frosted glass chimney. Poppy pattern glass looks like a satin finish soft greenish-yellowish color called custard made with'uranium glass'. See info below for details. On top of bottom globe, note an oval patch of glue residue remains from the location of the Underwriters Laboratories sticker that is no longer affixed. This type of glass is most noticeable under ultraviolet light, where it glows bright green. The yellowish color of custard glass is created by uranium oxide in the formula. This ingredient makes custard fluoresce under long wave black light.
