1947 Boris Chatman Mid Century Modernist Expressionist Pottery Bowl Signed

Boris Chatman was born in Russia, studied art in Paris, lived and worked in Spain and North Africa and later emigrated to the U. On 6/09/1952 - An exhibition of his work alongside ceramicists, Miss Rose Krebs and Boris Chatman, was on view.

He sometimes used a scratched or painted BC into the clay as pictured. He expired in August of 1965. This fantastic pottery ceramic bowl is part of his legacy.

Bowl measures 8.25" in diameter x 3.5" tall. Overall in very good condition for age, showing some pinpoint clay marks from firing. A very unique art piece that will never be duplicated and very worthy of any fine art collector. If at anytime there is a problem or concern, just let me know and we will make things right.
