IT HAS A SPECTACULAR AND VERY LOVELY "HEARTS & VINES" ARTISTIC DURAND PATTERN ON IT ALONG WITH FANTASTIC & SIMPLY INCREDIBLE COLORING!! IT IS QUITE HEAVY, SOLID, THICK, CLEAN, STRONG, AND WELL MADE!! IT HAS NO CHIPS, CRACKS, HAIRLINES, OR REPAIRS!! IT HAS A SMALL NICELY DRILLED HOLE ON ITS BOTTOM AS SHOWN (EASY TO PLUG OR LEAVE ENTIRELY ALONE).IT IS A TREMENDOUS JOY JUST TO HOLD AND MARVEL AT!! IT IS PROPERLY SIGNED ON BASE AS SHOWN. IT MEASURES A HUGE DISPLAY SIZE: 8 " HIGH, X 8 " WIDE, X 3 3/4 " WIDE ACROSS THE TOP OPENING, X 4 1/2 " WIDE BASE. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO PHOTOGRAPH PROPERLY AND IS TEN TIME NICER LOOKING IN PERSON!!

Durand was a contemporary to Tiffany Studios, Steuben, Quezal and several others in the 1920's. Although they blew glass in a shorter period of time than any of these glass houses Durand made his mark on the art glass world. This is a quality piece of art glass that is considered much rarer because there are by far fewer examples of Durand Art Glass than his contemporaries of the day such as Tiffany, Steuben and Quezal.
