This set have the Haviland mark dating them to 1882. GDM is Gerard Dugraisseiz & Morel, to narrow further to "factory decorated". Very good to excellent condition for age and type. The plates show little wear for their 140 years, and while these certainly are survivors of a larger original set, having 6 alike and in such beautiful condition is rare! No chips, no cracks, if crazing, I don't see it.
The plates have been displayed rather than used. They are 9 1/8" in diameter with a scalloped rim, and they're 1 5/8" in depth (soup plates). Photos show each one separately, as they're a work of art, each one. They weigh just under 1 lb each plate.
