This antique Limoges porcelain bowl features hand painted flowers on a white background. Mixed floral bouquets of roses, pansies, mums, sweet peas and other flowers decorate the interior of the bowl. The oblong bowl has 2 open handles and an embossed, scalloped rim. It has decorative gold trim. The antique centerpiece or serving bowl has one very small chip (1/16" on the top side, widening to 1/8" on the bottom side) on the upper rim as shown.
Otherwise its in excellent condition, free of any noticeable wear on the gold trim, additional chips, cracks, repairs and crazing. It measures 15 3/4" long x 8 1/2" wide x 2 1/4 high at its highest point. It is marked for Laviolette Limoges and dates between 1896 and 1905. Auctiva offers Free Image Hosting and Editing.
