Antique Steuben Art Glass Frederick Carder Mat-su-noke Green Clear Vase Bowl
STEUBEN MAT-SU-NOKE CLEAR & GREEN VASE BOWL! Beautiful estate collection example from Steuben with the Mat-Su-Noke design. Its distinctive feature is the presence of applied and tooled sprays of blossoms influenced by Japanese designs. Carder also used the design at Steuben Glass Works in Corning, New York, in the 1920s. Example from the art deco era is free of cracks or hairlines, but does have a bit of loss at the tip end of the blossom spray vine typical of these pieces. No acid etched signature as it would have carried a paper label at origination. Base bottom exhibits a polished pontil. Measures in at 5" wide exclusive of the handles, and 3 & 1/8" tall.
Very elegant piece, in the genre of a rose bowl. Questions if you have them... We prefer our clients to have Public, rather than Private, feedback.
