C1895 CF Monroe NAKARA Footed MATCHHOLDER TOOTHPICKPink w/Daisies. This week I will begin listing selections from an incredible estate collection of Victorian toothpick holders. Included are examples in art glass, pattern glass, porcelain and some of the best silverplate figurals I've seen. This toothpick was made by C. Monroe in the "Nakara" line.

The opal glass is decorated with hand painted daisies on a pink background with a gilt metal base. This piece is technically a match holder but is collected as a toothpick holder as well.

The toothpick measures 2 1/4" high and about 2" across. It is in very good condition with no damage, significant wear or restoration found.
