Catalina Island Pottery Matte Blue Fluted Bowl & Flower Frog Early California

Beautiful early Catalina Island pottery bowl (#200) with matching flower frog (#201) in the rich matte Catalina Blue glaze. The bowl features a scalloped Art Deco form and measures approximately 8" x 5 1/2", standing 2 1/2 tall. The original fitted flower frog is included. Condition: Very nice vintage condition. The glaze is smooth and even, with just one tiny spot on the flower frog (see photos). No cracks, repairs, or other damage. Marked on the bottom: Catalina Island. This is a wonderful example of early Catalina Island pottery with strong Art Deco styling. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to visit the Catalina Museum for Art & History and see an amazing display of Catalina Pottery.
