Huge 25+ Brilliant Cobalt Blue Blenko Chess Piece Art Glass Decanter

DESCRIPTION: I'm parting with my best decanter because I have ran out of space. If you can't display it and enjoy it then why own it? This is a very rare variant of the new Blenko Experimental 1516 Chess Piece Bottle (decanter). Only 5 were made in this particular shade of Cobalt Blue. The dark Cobalt blue ones are not as rare as these are. This Cobalt is more brilliant. Almost like an electric blue!!! It is hand blown and has Blenko's signature and year (2016) on the base near the pontil mark. It stands just shy of 25-1/2 tall and is in perfect condition with no damage or repairs. The stopper is ground to fit, but as with all of these type of decanters it takes a bit of effort to find the right spot where it will stand straight. Even then it's not a extremely tight fit and a good bump would probably make it tilt some and be crooked. It isn't so loose that it will fall out or hit the side of the opening (nothing like that), but I wanted to point out this minor issue. In short, it goes in all the way, but you have to work with it some to find the right spot so it stays straight. I'm being extra picky about this where most sellers (perhaps all) wouldn't even mention it...

Use the zoom feature to view all the pictures. I will reimburse for any overages. I describe any and all issues that I'm aware of. "As is" always raises a red flag for me because it really means there is probably something wrong with the item that may not be disclosed. The term is widely misused today.

You can never ask too many questions or the wrong ones. I have a lot of good stuff to sell. THE "FINE PRINT": I start most of my auctions at a low or reasonable starting price. However, I do consider myself a reasonable person and will consider all requests. My pictures are quite good and if the color is off I will mention it.

I also describe the smallest problems that I notice such as scratches, haze/stain (common in vintage glass), wear, cracks, chips, repairs, or defects of any kind, etc. I will accept a return for significant issues I didn't notice and/or disclose that are valid issues (something that's not part of the design or manufacturing process). Item not received, or not as described, etc. So far this has not been necessary because all of my buyers have been satisfied buyers. We will pack your item(s) with the utmost care. I know how fragile they are and have been "broken hearted" one too many times when receiving a rare or "one-of-a-kind" item only to open a box full of broken pieces or glass shards. It can be enough to make a grown man cry! It can ruin your week, month, year, hopefully not your life though, which is far more precious than any materialistic item.
