Hit the mark with this very rare Steuben design. A brilliant crystal shape is engraved with a target, at it's core is a fitting that accepts the removable 18k gold arrow.
One of the last made in USA of original formula Steuben, Eric Hilton designs, which makes this a very rare piece. Perfect for the special birthday, Father's Day for the sportsman or for the collector.
This beautiful sculpture has the superb detailing that is a hallmark of Steuben. The heavy cut and engraved disc with base is approx. 7 tall with beautiful clarity and refraction of light.
It is very heavy at about 5lbs. This piece is new in box with no chips, no cracks, no scratches and NO signs of display or base bottom wear and is signed "Steuben" in diamond point script on the edge of the glass target.
The special wood base with this piece is a dark walnut finish. The Target with 18k gold arrow and base is a Steuben masterwork and will be packed in it's fine Steuben Gift Box with flannel bag and Steuben Care Card this would have been a Steuben "red box" design except Steuben stopped using red leather boxes in the 1990's. Steuben Glass was founded by Frederick Carder in 1903. Renown as the world's foremost artisan glass house, Steuben glass was hand made by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY. Steuben glass was frequently the United States gift of State to foreign dignitaries.
Steuben marketed no seconds, items that did not meet their exacting production standards were destroyed by being smashed in a bin. Thank you for your interest in this stunning Steuben design.
