Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a rare Mt. Washington translucent rainbow Art Glass bottle form bud vase, c. Measures 4 3/4" high with a 1 1/2" diameter top and an overall width of 3 1/4. The body of this lovely vase is made of alternating rainbow colors of yellow, cranberry and turquoise/aqua with a vertical swirl pattern in the glass. Washington made this glass and also made rainbow glass with a satin finish and in air-trap mother-of-pearl cased glass designs. Each of these glass designs is scarce with the translucent (clear) rainbow glass being the hardest to find. The vase is in very good Estate condition with the only noted flaw being some minute no-harm nicks to the gilded upper rim. The pin-head sized nicks would not be noticed except for the rim being gilded.
