Up for your consideration is an Oscar Bach Gilt Bronze and Steuben Aurene Glass Fixture of spherical form with S-scroll overlays, supended by three chains. The piece was designed by Oscar Bach (1884 - 1947), who contracted Steuben to make a very large & heavy glass orb, that is very highly iridized.

The piece is gorgeous when lit or unlit, and is one of the finest lamps of this form ever made. The piece is 13.75" tall, 10" in diameter at the widest point, and 5.5 in diameter at the mouth. Just the glass portion of the lamp measures 10" high and 9" in diameter. Additionally, the chain measures 8 long. Overall, the piece is in excellent condition.

There is slight wear to the chain links (some have opened or been bent slightly), otherwise the piece is in wonderful condition for its age. The Steuben insert has a small chip to the fitter, not seen when the bronze overlay is in place.
