Offering this very elegant set of 5 cream soup or bouillon bowls with their saucers in the Wendover green pattern produced in England by John Aynsley and Sons. These were only produced in 1939 as per the back stamp which includes the registration #754522. The bowls measure 4 5/8 inches in diameter, 6 5/8 inches from handle to handle, and 2 1/2 inches high to the rim. The saucers measure 6 1/4 inches in diameter. There is an abundance of gold trim embellished on the handles and outlining the green accents as well as the cream borders of both the bowls and the saucers.
There is also a gold line on the outside of the bowls. These sets are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, utensil marks, or any appreciable wear of the gilding. There is some very light crazing on some of the pieces but is barely visible.
