Very Rare Cased Blue Barrel Toothpick on Silver Plated Dog Cart by Rogers Smith
Very Rare Victorian Cased Blue Barrel Toothpick on Silver Plated Dog Cart by Rogers Smith The Victorian white cased to blue toothpick is barrel shaped with two ribs. It has little hand enameled flowers painted on its exterior. It has a polished pontil and someone had written Gina in magic marker. There is one area on the top rib and above it where the finish has been scuffed or ground down (See Pic).

There might have been a gold band at the center of each band but no traces are left. It measures 2 18" high and 2.21" in diameter. It is marked with this name and quadruple plate , Meriden CT and the number 26. It is in excellent condition. One of the floral supports where the barrel sits was broken off cleanly.

I had it professionally laser welded. If you didn't know that it had been repaired you would not notice it. These type of animal carts are rare.
