Vintage 31in BLENKO Glass Turquoise Teal DECANTER #588 Wayne Husted The Rocket. A great Mid-century modern Blenko art glass floor decanter. This was the first of the Architectural line designed by Wayne Husted, #588, nicknamed The Rocket. This is a huge piece, measuring just under 31 tall. I think it is Turquoise but the other option would be Teal. It's also a very substantial piece, weighing approximately 7.5 lbs.

Base of bottle is 6-1/2 wide. The stopper has a ground edge on the plug end and seats about 3/8 from going completely into the neck. It is the original stopper, they just don't go all the way down sometimes. No ground area shows when in the bottle.

No chips or cracks (flaking extending from the standard broken pontil, which is not later damage). No cloudiness or haze, just a little bit of dust and dirt on the interior. Sandblasted blenko signature on the base.
